Confirm your rifle is chambered for 7.62×51 NATO (not all .308 Win chambers are spec’d for surplus NATO ammo—check your manufacturer’s guidance). This is surplus FMJ “ball” ammunition typically around 145–147 gr, intended for training/field use. Surplus lots are often Berdan-primed and treated as non-reloadable; projectile/primer may be magnetic depending on lot. Store cool and dry, and follow all local laws and age restrictions.
